The weather at the Costa del Sol and other regions in Andalucia
Spain is ideal for playing Golf throughout the whole year. Especially the
Marbella area at the Costa del Sol is excellent for Golf because of its
micro climate.
Winters are a mixture of beautiful days with a sunny clear sky
and days with some clouds. Daily highs about 16°C and nightly lows
rarely below 10°C. First rains are in September but hardly worth to
mention. In November you will most likely experience rainfall if you are
staying for around 2 weeks or longer. The period from half-way September
till half-way May is ideal for golf.
Summers in Andalucia are hot, especially landinwards. Temperatures
can easily rise towards 35°C in the Months July and October. Although
people usually avoid a game of golf in this period, it is quite an interesting
season for golfers as most courses offer discounts on green fees and driving
with a buggy is actually quite refreshing. Just be sure to take enough
drink with you and keep in the shade as much as possible.
