Before we played someone told us that a four ball had once lost 120 balls in one round!! So I was pleasantly surprised to find it quite playable. Most of the off fairway is now given as a lateral water hazard which makes it easier and speeds up play. Amazingly, off my handicap, I hit most fairways but slopes could still take the ball off. I found the approach shots more difficult with fast greens that were difficult to hold and surrounded by problems. I didn't score well but this was mainly due to the fast greens and severe borrows. The last three or four holes are much easier.Fantastic views and a real pleasure and challenge to play. Next day played the par 3 , 9 hole course which is the best of it's type I have played. In fact you should play this first to prepare your short game for the main course! Give it a go - it's great fun.
