Montecastillo Golf Resort - Cadiz

The Montecastillo Golf Resort, situated in Cadiz (Spain) nearby Jerez de la Frontera next to the Formula 1 Grand Prix track, opened in 1992.

Designed by Jack Nicklaus, Montecastillo Golf is a beautiful, reasonably undulated, course with artistically placed lakes and spectacular elevated tee boxes surrounded by rolling hills. The finishing 3 holes of this golf course guarantee thrilling moments. Especially the 18th par 4 is brilliant. The tee box is situated on top of a hill. 40 metres lower, the fairway curves around a lake which is guarding the green.

Montecastillo Golf hosted the 1994 and 1996 Turespaña Masters Open and has been the venue for the always exciting final of the European PGA tour, The Volvo Masters, from 1997 till 2001.

The clubhouse, golfshop and caddie master of Monte castillo Golf are accommodated in an impressive Castle.
